The Buffs are one of 64 schools slated to participate in the 2011 Womens National Invitational Tournament. CU is one of three Big 12 Conference schools in the tournament in addition to Kansas and Oklahoma State.
Colorado (15-15) will open the tournament by hosting UC Riverside (19-12) on Thursday at the Coors Events Center.
The post-season invitation marks the 19th such occasion for the program, which last made an appearance in the WNIT in 2008. That year, the Buffs made a run to the semifinals.
