The Buffs fell to the Longhorns in a three-set sweep, 25-19, 25-15, 25-20 at Gregory Gymnasium in Texas.
Colorado falls to 2-5 in the Big 12, and 5-8 overall, while Texas improves to 4-2 in the Big 12 and 9-5 overall after Wednesday night’s match-up.
Colorado totaled 27 kills in the match, with eight by sophomore outside hitter Kerra Schroeder and five each by freshman Nikki Lindow and junior Richi Bigelow. Lindow hit a .273, with only two errors on 11 swings.
Megan Beckwith led defensively with eight digs, while Lindow made a team total of three blocks. Texas had a total of six blocks.
The Buffs fought back in the final set, scoring four consecutive points to hold off Texas after a 24-16 match point.
Colorado has not won a match against Texas since 2003.
The Buffs will host Baylor at home Saturday at 6:30 p.m at the Coors Events Center.
