The attack took place the morning of Saturday Sept. 18 as two students, one female and one male, were walking by the Coors Event Center. CU Police Department spokesperson Molly Bosley said the students were assaulted by two men.
“The male victim did obtain a broken tooth and abrasions to the face,” Bosley said. “The female student did have her hair pulled pretty severely.”
Both students were sent to Boulder hospital for minor injuries and both are now fine.
The first suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, broad build, with dark-colored hair. He has dark eyes, short hair, a pale complexion and is 20-years-old to 21-years-old.
The second suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 155 to 160 pounds, 18-years-old to 20-years-old with longer shoulder-length blond to reddish hair.
Bosley said she believes that this incident is not related to the assault of a student near Kittredge Fields on Sunday, Sept. 5.
“There is no indication to believe that it was connected,” she said. “We are again actively investigating these cases.”On top of the investigations, the university has worked to make sure the campus is a safer place, Bosley said.
“We [UCPD] are continuing to patrol the campus on a regular basis,” she said. “A number of communications did go out this week to students relative to how they practice good safety habits.”
