Seniors Monica Milewski and Camila Belassi each earned singles victories but it wasn’t enough for an overall team win for the Colorado Buffaloes.
Milewski and Belassi were the only wins for the No. 60 CU tennis team on Sunday as they fell to the No. 38 Boise State Broncos 5-2 in Boise, Idaho.
Boise State won the doubles point 2-1, with Colorado’s only victory coming from Milewski/Ania Anuszkiewicz who defeated Marlena Pietzuch/Rocio Frej 8-3.
In the other singles matches victories for the Broncos, Pichittra Thongdach defeated Melisa Esposito 6-0, 6-2; Stephanie Jasper defeated Michala Hedelund Jensen 6-3, 3-0, retired; Pietzuch defeated Erin Sanders 6-4, 6-1; and Elyse Edwards defeated Anuszkiewicz 7-5, 6-3.
CU will travel to Albuquerque, N.M. next weekend to take on Oregon Saturday and New Mexico Sunday.
