In most losses, there is always at least one bright spot.
In Saturday night’s loss to Baylor, sophomore outside hitter Becah Fogle was that bright spot for the Colorado Buffaloes volleyball team.
Fogle recorded with a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs in the Buffs’ (5-10, 0-6 Big 12 Conference) straight sets loss, 25-14, 25-19, 25-15, to the No. 19 Bears (16-1, 5-1) at the Coors Events Center.
“At this point in the season to still be seeking our first conference win is not where we want to be,” said CU head coach Liz Kritza in a news release. “But the path we have traveled is extremely challenging and the progress this team is making has not yet been evident in the win-loss column.”
Baylor over-powered Colorado all match with 51 kills while the Buffs had 31 kills.
CU sophomore outside hitter Rosie Steinhaus had another solid performance with nine kills, while freshman outside hitter Kerra Schroeder finished with six.
Colorado will look to get their first Big 12 win of the season Wednesday as they head to Columbia, Mo. to take on the Missouri Tigers at 5:30 p.m.
