Mid-week relief from flurries will not last
Snow will return Thursday evening following cloud covered skies during most of the day. Temperatures are expected to remain in the teens throughout the day.
Snowfall is expected to be between one and four inches between Thursday evening and Friday night. Accumulation will be heaviest between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday.
However, walking on campus during the snowfall Friday may be more pleasant than usual, as wind is not in the forecast. Be careful of icy and slick sidewalks that remain from earlier in the week.
According to the National Weather Service, a blowing wind advisory was in affect for Highway 93 between Golden and Boulder Wednesday night and windy conditions may continue to affect the commute throughout Thursday. Extra caution is advised.
Students should wake up to mostly sunny conditions Saturday morning and can expect the weather to remain calm as they head home for the holidays.
Those with finals remaining can look forward to slightly warmer temperatures and some cloud coverage next week.
