State leaders, convention organizers to prepare for 2008
The Democratic National Convention will be held in Denver next year, but Boulder will be playing host to a meeting to prepare for the event.
The forum, sponsored by the Democratic National Convention Committee, will be held on Dec 5. at 12 p.m. at the Spice of Life Event Center in Boulder. Attending will be Colorado House Majority Leader Alice Madden and Representative for Boulder as well as DNCC CEO Lead Daughtry.
The forum is the third of ten such forums sponsored by the DNCC across the region, Madden said.
Madden said the event will be a short presentation about the 2008 convention and does not know how many people will attend. Space is limited, according to a prepared statement, so those planning to attend can R.S.V.P. by going to rsvp@demconventioncenter.com, or calling 720-DNC-2008.
