Police took a report of arson at Eisenhower Elementary School, 1220 Eisenhower Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a plastic play set in flames.
Nov. 5
A three-car accident occurred near the corner of Broadway and Regent Drive, officers reported. Witnesses said that a Dodge truck crossed the yellow line and struck a Cadillac head-on. An Audi then became involved in the crash. The 52-year-old driver of the truck was arrested on suspicion of DUI/DUI drugs, reckless driving and violation of a protection order.
Nov. 8
Police officers and firemen responded to a call from the 2900 block of Pennsylvania. The report had been of a tree on fire. When authorities arrived at the scene they discovered that a man had been shocked by a cord that had somehow been thrown over the power line (which is how the tree came to be on fire). The man suffered critical injuries and was transported to the hospital after rescue efforts on the part of the fire department.
