After last year’s spectacular sold out event, Global Dance’s Skylab returns to the 1st Bank Center on September 18 & 19 for its first two-day installment with Skylab: Parallel Universe.
The first day of the 2015 event has a star-studded lineup including Burns, Botnek, Ruby Rose, Laidback Luke and 19-year-old Dutch electro house wunderkind Martin Garrix. Garrix, after a falling out with his management over personal freedoms, is sure to deliver an incredible set.
Next on the lineup is Laidback Luke, the Filipino-Dutch member of the Dutch Kung Fu team, and an incredibly technical DJ. Laidback Luke without a doubt is one the most skilled electro house DJs, putting any and every “press-play DJ” to shame.
Australia’s Ruby Rose, whom you may have seen as Stella Carson on Orange is the New Black, was a house DJ long before she rose to prominence on TV, and she promises to bring the heat.
Botnek is another amazing addition to the lineup, with their signature vomit-step sound, which I have sadly yet to experience live. Be sure to get there early to check out the electro house/future house stylings of Burns, who is also sure to impress.
The second day of Skylab: Parallel Universe boasts an equally impressive line-up including Jack Novak, Bad Royale, Andrew Rayel, Borgore and Krewella. I’m excited for Andrew Rayel because I haven’t seen any live trance in Colorado since Armin Van Buuren back in 2013. It’s also incredibly exciting because this will be Krewella’s first Colorado show since their sold-out Red Rocks show.
All in all, it’s going to be an epic weekend and an even more epic festival.
This event is 16+. Doors open at 7 pm. General admission and VIP tickets are still available at http://www.altitudetickets.com/eventgroups/skylab/.
