Photos: First Snow

The first snowstorm of the year left a dusting of white across Boulder. Photographers of the CU Independent captured some of the beauty of a snow-covered campus.

Assistant photo editor Robert R. Denton stumbled upon a group of students who built a jump out of snow. They had attached a Banshee Bungee cord to a tree just behind the jump and were stretching out the cord so snowboarders and skiers could gain enough speed to go off the jump. Those who went off the jump gained enough air to do an assortment of grabs and a backflip.
