Police Alerted by hospital

The CU Police Department is investigating an alleged sexual assault which occurred on campus over the weekend.

On September 6 at about 6 a.m., Boulder Community Hospital called CUPD about a possible sex assault victim in the emergency room, according to a CUPD press release.

The victim is described as a 20-year-old CU student. She told the officers that she was walking from the Hill across campus with three men on the morning of Sept. 6.

According to the report, on the western half of Norlin Quadrangle, at about 3:30 a.m., two of the men disappeared, and the third allegedly sexually assaulted the CU student. She walked home and then went to Boulder Community Hospital.

The report describes the suspect only as a white male, college-aged, about 5’8″ tall with dark hair, who was wearing blue jeans.

“Detectives are still investigating the case but we have not made any arrests yet,” said CUPD spokesman Brad Wiesley on Tuesday. “We have a couple of leads that we are working on but nothing we can release publicly at this point.”
