CU student, fraternity member passes away

A CU student passed away Wednesday, according to a post on the Sigma Pi fraternity’s Facebook page.

The post identified the student as environmental studies major Ryan Oehl.

“Our hearts go out to the entire Oehl family,” the post said.

A mass will be held on 3 p.m. this Friday at Saint Thomas Aquinas church on The Hill.

A representative from the Boulder County Coroner’s office said there is a death the office is investigating that may or may not be a CU student, but the individual has not been identified and an investigation into the cause and manner of death will be initiated.

CU administration representatives could not immediately be reached for comment.
