You may have heard the songs, but have you seen the videos? By Taylor Charette

Music videos you might have missed

We all love music videos. They can display the images we make in our own minds when listening to a song, give us a whole new perspective on how to interpret the lyrics or be a completely random experience. Here are some of the most creative and unexpected videos that you’ve been missing out on.

1. “Her Morning Elegance,” Oren Lavie

Lavie illustrates his lyrics about a woman’s loneliness using stop-motion photography.

2. “Car Radio,” Twenty One Pilots

Like most of their videos, Twenty One Pilots gets deep and dark, emotionally displaying the difficult subject matter of their song.

3. “Same Love,” Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Ryan Lewis successfully moves into the role of director in this touching video that has a story all its own.

4. “All Your Light,” Portugal. The Man

Portugal. The Man adds a twist to their lighthearted song with this gory vampiristic video.

5. “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards,” Tame Impala

A perfect visual of the kaleidoscopic images you picture while listening to this song.

6. “We Got More,” Eskmo

The mirrored effects keep your eyes on the screen for the entirety of this Eskmo video.

7. “Somebody That I Used to Know,” Walk Off the Earth

Walk Off the Earth’s cover of the Gotye hit displays their unique five-person-one-guitar method.

8. “Young Guns,” Cardinal Sons

Up-and-coming studio Flatland Productions uses drawings based on actual filmed footage to create this video for Cardinal Sons.

9. “Furr,” Blitzen Trapper

Blitzen Trapper uses drawings, creative flip-book animation and more in this pop-up, storybook-like visual.
