Boulder residents dusted off their snow boots Oct.4 for the first snowfall of the season. Students could be seen across campus with hats, mittens, scarves and hot beverages this Friday. The snow let up towards the afternoon, turning into light rain.

While this weather may provide the perfect excuse to indulge in a pumpkin spice latte or two, many students were not ready for the cold to come.
“It’s fall, not winter yet. It’s supposed to be summer,” sophomore psychology major Bobby Tedoldi said.
Some students expressed shock at the earlier than normal snowfall.
“I wish it would go away, it’s too early. I like the cold because I’m from colder states, but it’s definitely too early,” freshman history major Josh Mathiason said.
True to Colorado’s nature, and much to the joy of students around campus feeling nostalgic about summer, the forecast is already in the midst of change.
Next week predicted temperatures range from the high 60’s to the low 70’s.
It is still not clear whether such an early snow will impact flood repairs.
