A CU student is facing charges for unlawful possession of ecstasy and attempted distribution of the drug.
Justin Feinberg, a 23-year-old senior finance major, has been charged for unlawful possession of ecstasy and attempted distribution, said Sarah Huntley, Boulder Police public information officer.
Between 2:35 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feinberg attempted to send a 10-pound Penthouse magazine to California via FedEx at Shipping on the Hill, Huntley said.
“The clerk thought it was suspicious because it would cost $29 to send it and would cost less to purchase it in California,” Huntley said.
The clerk then discovered eight packets of a white, powdery substance stuck between two magazine pages and alerted Boulder police, she said.
“The police tested the powder and it tested positive for ecstasy,” Huntley said.
The report, she said, did not indicate the ecstasy’s weight.
After receiving the positive test results, police began to look for Feinberg, who was later found on the 900 block of Pleasant Street and taken into custody, Huntley said.
