The Boulder Police Department has concluded its investigation into the accident that occurred at the Alpha Phi Sorority, according to a recent news release.
According to the news release, a woman fell off the roof of the sorority house early Saturday morning.
The police issued a minor in possession of alcohol ticket to Rachel Anne Feucht, the 20-year-old woman who fell. Feucht is a sophomore communication major at CU.
When asked how she is feeling, Feucht said she is recovering and declined to comment further on the accident.
“I’m feeling pretty good,” Feucht said. “I got out of the hospital today.”
This is the second MIP Boulder PD have issued to Feucht, according to the news release. If convicted, Feucht will face alcohol education classes, community service, an alcohol evaluation and assessment and a fine of up to $500.
Police also issued a ticket Thursday to Jon Robert Stroker, a 21-year-old junior advertising major. According to the news release, Stroker is charged with serving alcohol to Feucht.
Serving alcohol to a person under 21 is a Class 1 misdemeanor, according to the news release, and if Stroker is convicted there is a minimum penalty of six months imprisonment, a $500 fine or both. The maximum penalty is of 18 months imprisonment, a $5,000 fine or both.
Investigators determined that Feucht went to a party at Stroker’s fraternity, Theta Xi. According to the news release, Feucht consumed large amounts of alcohol at the party, including beer and vodka. Detectives do not believe that any substance besides alcohol was involved in the case.
Detectives said they believe that Feucht was unable to get into her room when she returned to her sorority around 12:30 a.m., according to the release. Feucht went into a vacant room across the hall, where it appears she decided to climb out the window. Detectives said they believe Feucht was walking along the gutter to reach an outside stairwell to get back downstairs when she slid off the roof to the ground.
