From a Boulder Police Department news release:
On Tuesday, Oct. 13, at approximately 9:50 p.m., police responded to a possible kidnapping in the area of 28th Street and Kalmia Avenue. Investigators determined that the victim, a 19-year-old male, was forced into the passenger side of his own car in front of a business in the 2700 block of Iris Avenue. One male suspect drove the victims car while several other suspects followed in a black Audi. They proceeded to drive around Boulder and eventually to an area south of Boulder on Highway 93.
At some point, the victim was able to text his father to notify him he had been abducted. Eventually, all persons were located in the Safeway parking lot near the intersection of 28th Street and Iris Avenue. The victim was unharmed. Five male suspects were arrested on charges of First Degree Kidnapping and Felony Menacing. They are:
Hans Beelner, DOB 12/03/1990 of Lyons
Harold Buchholz, DOB 11/12/1989, residence unknown
Padraic Kirsch, 03/22/1991 of Boulder
Dustin Roe, DOB 11/26/1985 of Boulder
Trevor Roe, DOB 05/17/1990 of Boulder
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances of the kidnapping and the relationship, if any, between the victim and suspects.
At this time, until further information is available, the Police Department will not be able provide any additional information.
The investigation is on-going.
