I understand those kinds of conversations can be unpleasant and intimidating, but if this person is really your friend (and even if they’re not!) then you should have told this person how you feel directly.

An article like this is cowardly. It seems more like a junior high writing exercise than something written by a mature adult in a college newspaper. Confront the people that hurt you. Deal with your problems like an adult. Don’t hide behind your writing.

I also don’t understand why this was published in the first place. People have their own problems. I seriously doubt the majority of your reader base wants to listen to you complain about a problem you haven’t even begun to try to solve on your own.
