Hickenlooper, Fitz-Gerald read from western literature
Last night at Old Main The Center of the American West hosted the 11th annual Words to Stir the Soul, celebrating our public servants.
Various local political figures read excerpts of their favorite western literature, including Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, FEMA Federal Coordinating Officer Justin Dombrowski, Senator Joan Fitz-Gerald, Senator Ken Gordon, Justice Gregory Hobbs, Representative Alice Madden, Executive Director of Public Health & Environment James Martin, Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey, Lieutenant Governor Barbara O’Brien, First Lady Jeannie Ritter and Colorado Democratic Party Chairwoman Pat Waak.
Each of the public officials chose readings that inspired them in their political and private lives.
