Oct. 1
-A 21-year-old Lafayette man was arrested on suspicion of felony theft from Liquor Mart. The suspect is accused of stealing money from the store, which was his place of employment at the time of the theft.
-Police arrested a 46-year-old Boulder woman on suspicion of domestic violence-related third-degree assault at the 1400 block of Folsom Street. The suspect allegedly assaulted her boyfriend during an argument. In addition, the woman had a warrant out for her arrest. Officers are also looking into a previous first-degree assault between the couple.
Oct. 2
-A report was filed for a third-degree assault at CU Humanities building. A reporter from The Boulder Camera tried to enter the classroom where Ward Churchill was to teach his free class. After being told he was not welcome, then being asked to leave, the reporter alleges that he was physically guided toward the exit by a student.
-A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and a 34-year-old woman on suspicion of second-degree assault and theft after a shoplifting incident at Ideal Market. The suspects are accused of assaulting the employee who allegedly caught the woman stealing.
-Officers arrested a 25-year-old Boulder man on suspicion of harassment after police responded to three calls in two hours from the 2000 block of Goss Street. The suspect allegedly persisted in pounding on his neighbor’s door in the early morning hours, and then proceeded to show her his buttocks when she confronted him.
Oct. 4
-An 18-year-old Boulder man was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree arson in the area of 30th Street and Moorhead Avenue. The suspect is accused of setting his own vehicle, a 2007 Ford Focus purchased less than two weeks ago, on fire after deciding that it was undriveable due to an accident the previous day.
-Officers arrested a 22-year-old Boulder man on suspicion of harassment, domestic violence related first-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest at the 2200 block of Walnut Street. The suspect is accused of entering his ex-girlfriend’s apartment while she was asleep, along with making numerous phone calls to her.
