Possible crime being investigated after man is found by tour group
The CU Police Department responded to an injured male at the University Club off of Broadway on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
The male had suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital for further medical treatment.
“At this point in the investigation it is too early to say if this was an assault or a crime of any type,” Commander Brad Wiesley of the CU Police Department said.
The male was discovered by a group of people who were touring the club. The male said he had been drinking and combined with the head injury, was unsure how he had been injured.
“He did admit to us he was drinking the night before but was still not fully coherent,” Wiesley said.
Police are asking anyone that had seen a fight or an assault the night before around the area of Broadway and 17th Street to call (303) 492-8168.
Further information of the severity of the injury or the investigation has not yet been released.
