Students react to Marcus Hall suspension
The loss of Buffs guard Marcus Hall to academic ineligibility had some CU students wondering if the star should still be allowed to play. Others thought the suspension, which lasts for the duration of the fall semester, was justifiable.
“I think they should still let him play to see if he gets his grades up or not. If he starts out the year good, then they should let him play.”
-Trevor Konieczny, sophomore business major
“I think that Marcus should be able to play because our team needs good players. But study up, Markie.”
-Fred Kampo, open-option freshman
“They should let him play. Maybe give him a tutor. Let the kid play. He’s good! We’ll win! He’s good! Let him play!”
-Matt Mermel, freshman political science major
“I think that he should be able to be on the team while still getting outside help with his work. And as long as he gets his grades up in a certain amount of time, he should still be able to play because the basketball team will do better with him on it.”
-Hanna Lee, sophomore psychology and education major
“I think that if he’s not academically successful he should probably spend more time at school and take back from the basketball a little bit until he gets better grades.”
-Justin Lang, sophomore architectural engineering major
